Windows 11 may finally learn when to turn the lights off without users having to tell it.
Microsoft is testing native automatic theme switching that could move Windows 11 between Light and Dark modes based on sunrise and sunset, fixed schedules, or periods when the PC is idle, according to Windows Latest.
The feature remains experimental and has not reached regular Windows 11 users or the Windows Insider program. If Microsoft ships it, Windows would gain a convenience that users have long relied on third-party tools and PowerToys to provide.
