Reddit has gone from one of ChatGPT’s most visible sources to barely registering in its citations, with its share plunging in just days.
A recent report from Promptwatch, an AI search and citation-tracking platform, shows that Reddit accounted for an average of 3.83% of all ChatGPT citations between July 18 and Aug. 7. That share fell sharply on Aug 14, dropping below 1% and averaging just 0.52% through Aug 17.
