The Night Manager season 3: Key information

  • Season 3 was first confirmed (alongside season 2) back in April 2024
  • There won’t be a 10-year delay between seasons 2 and 3, unlike between 1 and 2
  • Season 3 broke records for the BBC; episode one had 8.7 million views
  • As of February 2026, the writer David Farr, is only beginning the process of the writing
  • While the cast is yet to be confirmed, it’s likely that Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role of Jonathan Pine, as will Hugh Laurie as Richard Roper, while Farr is said he’s keen to see a return from Indira Varma (playing Mayra Cavendish), Sally (Hayley Squire) and Danny (Noah Jupe)
  • Season 3 is seen as the last part of The Night Manager trilogy
  • The plot will focus on what Angela Burr (Olivia Colman) told Pine on a voicemail, that there’s “something beyond Roper, there’s a bigger game plan, and I have the name…”
