Belkin has announced new charging accessories at the IFA tech show in Berlin, Germany, including a wireless charging puck that doubles as a kickstand for your devices. The UltraCharge Magnetic Charger features a collapsible ring-shaped stand on the back that can either be used to prop up your phone, allowing you to stream hands-free content while itâs charging, or utilized like a magnetic phone grip that makes the device easier to hold.
The UltraCharge uses the new Qi2.2 wireless standard, delivers up to 25W of power, and was designed with passive cooling technology for âoptimal performance and battery protection,â according to Belkinâs press release. The UltraCharge Magnetic Charger comes in either black or white color options, and includes an integrated 6.6 feet / 2 meter USB-C cable, which might be a little restrictive if you want to use the ring grip to carry your phone around while itâs charging.
That ring grip could still come in handy if youâre used to using accessories like PopSockets, though, and itâs a neat feature you donât typically find on Googleâs or Appleâs puck chargers. The only thing to consider is price and availability; Belkin says the UltraCharge Magnetic Charger is launching in the US sometime in either November or December, but itâs arriving in other regions in October. The US price also isnât set, but will fall between $29.99 and $39.99, according to Belkin.
This is the most interesting of Belkinâs new charger launches, which also include a $29.99 75W BoostCharge Retractable Car Charger that doesnât currently have a US release date. These were announced alongside two versions of the BoostCharge Pro Dual USB-C GaN charger: a 50W model that will be available in September for $39.99, and a 67W version for $49.99 thatâll launch in the US market early next year.
