From Software has announced The Duskbloods, a new game from Elden Ring and Dark Souls developer From Software. It’s set to arrive in 2026 and it’s exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.
Duskbloods is a PvPvE title with with online multiplayer. Up to eight players face off against amongst themselves against challenging foes. You play as the “Bloodsworn,” a group that has transcended human strength due to their special blood.
The reveal trailer shows that it looks similar to games that From Software has done in the past. The medieval setting and dark atmosphere is reminiscent of Elden Ring. However, it’s got some slight differences. There seems to be more gothic and steampunk inspirations as what looks to be a character biting into someone’s neck, and there’s a walking robot casually strolling about.
More information will be revealed on April 4, where director Hidetaka Miyazaki will post a Creator’s Voice article about the game. From Software is currently working on Elden Ring Nightreign, which is set to launch on May 30. While the multiplayer-focused Nightreign isn’t launching on Switch 2, the original single-player Elden Ring will.
The Switch 2 Direct has also announced some new games for the system, such as Mario Kart World, Drag x Drive, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Nintendo Switch 2: Welcome Tour. Some other features include the C button, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of original Switch games, such as Kirby and the Forgotten Land, both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Switch 2 is also getting Nintendo GameCube games through its online subscription.
