- South Park season 28 episode 3 won’t air on Comedy Central until November 12
- The episode will be available on Paramount+ on November 13
- The two-week release schedule delays continue – episode 2 was moved to October 31
If you’ve been tuned into South Park season 27 since July – which became season 28 after just five episodes – you won’t be surprised to hear that season 28 episode 3 has been delayed by another week, if ‘delay’ is still the appropriate word for what’s becoming a regular occurrence.
A social media statement from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone following season 28’s debut read: “Apparently when you do everything at the last minute, sometimes you don’t get it done. This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time.
“Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being super understanding. Tune in next week!”

Thankfully, the schedule for remaining episodes has already been confirmed in the above post, but we can’t even take that as gospel. The episode originally intended for release on October 29 was moved to October 31 to coincide with Halloween.
There’s nothing to suggest that we’ll see any further changes to season 28 episode 3’s release at this stage, though. Instead, we’re seeing South Park pivot away from light-hearted Labubu shaming and into much darker, cryptic territory.
South Park season 28 episode 3 takes on the birth of the antichrist
If you watched the South Park Halloween episode, you’ll know attentions have turned to the demolition of the White House’s East Wing, with Trump on hand himself to ‘cryptoscam’ his investors.
All of this feeds into the ongoing plot of Trump and Satan being in a relationship (well, it’s more a case of Satan being forced into a relationship with Trump), and it’s this we’re about to see ramped up in South Park season 28 episode 3. As the episode synopsis tells us, “Peter Thiel takes Cartman to Washington as the birth of the Antichrist nears.”
Why is this significant? Thiel, a billionaire venture-capitalist and Trump supporter, is one of the only characters on the show trying to stop the Antichrist in his tracks, and certainly the only one who’s hellbent on doing so outright. Trump and his administrators have been quietened back into their routine by the end of episode 2, but we could be about to see the ultimate threat to his fictional presidency.
Of course, much of this is likely to tie into real-world events, and the hook for the next three episodes remains to be seen.
Creators have repeatedly said they need more time to get episodes ready for fans, explaining: “So much happens right now in just one day with Trump. No one’s going to sacrifice getting it right, even if we have to push getting it to air, and if that makes the season longer, so be it.”
