Following the release of the 115-inch Micro RGB TV back in August, Samsung has revealed today that its Micro RGB technology will extend into smaller sizes ranging from that 115-inch behemoth all the way down to 55 inches. While we all enjoy dreaming big, itās far more reasonable for most of us to consider putting a 55-, 65-, or 75-inch TV in a living room.
The new Micro RGB TVs will be available in 55, 65, 75, 85, 98, and 100 inches, joining the 115-inch MR95F. We expect further details about pricing and release dates at CES in January.
While thereās no definitive standard that sets the naming convention for using āminiā versus āmicroā when talking about this new RGB TV technology, Samsung indicates that the individual red, green, and blue LEDs used in each cluster are less than 100 micrometers (μm) big. Thatās less than the diameter of a strand of human hair or length of a dust particle. The use of RGB LEDs as the backlight ā instead of white or blue used in every other type of LED TV ā along with a color filter gives the TV better color purity and color brightness.
Weāll get a closer look at the new TVs at CES 2026 in January.
