Netflix added 61 new movies in September and while we all love choice, it can get overwhelming trying to figure out what to watch. Sometimes you need someone to make that decision for you, and that’s why I’m here.
Of the many titles added to the library this month, three of them really jumped out at me for different reasons. Whether you want one of the best horror movies added in September 2025, a Bradley Cooper thriller or a story about a lovable bear, there’s something for everyone.
Here are three titles you should prioritize watching this month. If you’re looking for more recommendations, take a look at these five Netflix movies you shouldn’t miss in September next.
Cobweb
Watch On
Age rating: R
Runtime: 88 minutes
Director: Samuel Bodin
Main cast: Lizzy Caplan, Woody Norman, Cleopatra Coleman, Antony Starr
I fear that critics have unfairly judged Samuel Bodin’s directorial debut, as some of the reviews aren’t great. But I’ve seen many of the best horror movies, and I really did enjoy Cobweb.
The movie follows a shy young boy named Peter who is bullied and feels suffocated by his overprotective parents. They won’t let him go trick or treating because a child in the area disappeared a few years ago, and tensions are high in this family.
Soon, Peter begins to hear noises in the walls, which sets up a creepy tale which is perfect for fans of domestic horror like Hereditary.
Limitless

Watch On
Age rating: PG-13
Runtime: 105 minutes
Director: Neil Burger
Main cast: Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish, Robert De Niro, Andrew Howard, Anna Friel
Based on the novel The Dark Fields (also excellent), Limitless follows a struggling author living in New York. He’s fallen on hard times, his girlfriend has broken up with him, and everything seems bleak until he’s offered NZT-48, a drug which gives him photographic memory.
With the help of the drug, Eddie learns he can analyze minute details and information at incredible speed, which gives him a much needed boost in life. But things soon take a dark turn, naturally, and he soon learns that NZT-48 isn’t as perfect as he first thought.
I’m a huge fan of this movie and I’m excited to rewatch it on Netflix this month.
Paddington

Watch On
Age rating: PG
Runtime: 95 minutes
Director: Paul King
Main cast: Ben Whishaw, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Nicole Kidman, Ben Whishaw
Finally, here’s one for the whole family. If you’re in the mood for something wholesome you can’t do much better than Paddington. This charming British movie follows the titular bear, voiced by Ben Whishaw, as he arrives in London via Paddington station.
He’s adopted by the Brown family but is soon targeted by a vengeful taxidermist, Millicent Clyde, who wants to add him to her collection, putting Paddington in danger he was very unprepared for.
With a great ensemble cast and plenty of action and laugh out loud moments, this one really is a must see.
