After months of beta testing, Apple is pushing the iOS 26 update out to the masses, just days after unveiling the iPhone 17 and three other new iPhone models. If you have an iPhone that launched in the last five or six years, you’ll be eligible for the update.

I jumped on board the iOS 26 train as soon as the first developer beta was launched right after WWDC 2025 in June – that’s the rougher version of iOS that developers can use to get their apps ready for the update – and so I can tell you in detail and from first-hand experience about some of the best features iOS 26 is bringing with it.
