A year after the iPhone 17 Pro arrived, Apple is asking buyers to spend more for another round of upgrades. The iPhone 18 Pro brings a new A20 Pro chip, a variable-aperture camera, faster charging, slightly longer battery life, a smaller Dynamic Island, and up to 2TB of storage.
It also starts at $1,199, compared with the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,099 launch price. For anyone who already owns last year’s Pro, that makes the decision less about which phone is better and more about whether the new features justify upgrading after just one generation.
