Peacock subscribers might have been sleeping on the first season of Ted, but Ted season 2 made a social splash before any of the episodes even dropped.
Now, we’ve got the pleasure of binging all 8 episodes this weekend, but for me, that’s not enough. Perhaps I’m being selfish or am in desperate need of some silly comic relief in bleak times, but I want Ted season 3 in my life more than anything.
“If season 3 happens, you’ll be the first to know”

“Jasmine Valentine… if [Ted season 3] happens, you will be the first to know,” Ubach laughs. “I’m just along for the ride.”
Normally, I’d chalk this kind of response up to a typically evasive media answer, but Ubach is so warm, funny and open to talk to that I genuinely think she doesn’t have a clue what’s coming next for the show.
What is clear is how much she loves the job, and I’m pretty sure she’d be playing Susan until she was 87 if given the chance.
“You never really know what is going to make people laugh and what is going to be considered a really good fun time for everyone,” she continues. “This is a ‘Let’s hang out on a Sunday in our robes in bed and eat Chinese food and enjoy Ted‘ kind of binge watch. It’s a damn honor to be considered one of the funniest moms.”
To be clear — Ubach is quoting one of the many YouTube and social media fan edits of Susan I’ve found back to me, who will surely ride at dawn to make sure Ted season 3 does come to light eventually.
For now, we’ll have to settle for the knowledge that MacFarlane still has the ability to surprise us all, including his cast.
“He’s never not full of insanely creative ideas where you think to yourself, ‘How does that brain work?’ And he has so many. He’s such a great director.
“He really does leave you alone, and when he sees that you’re a little lost, he’ll very gently steer you in the right way. So he does everything with kit and gloves, and it’s wonderful.”
