We’re about two weeks away from the next Apple event, where I expect we’ll see the new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models, along with a potential iPhone 17 Air.
For phone fans, it’s one of the biggest events of the year and could dictate how the smartphone world moves in 2026. We’ll be covering Apple’s showcase both on-site and remotely, so we’re poised to bring you all the news and reactions to whatever’s announced.
While I think you should wait for the iPhone 17, there’s still plenty to ponder, such as the five ways the iPhone 17 Pro can (and should) beat the iPhone 16 Pro, and how Apple’s rumored iPhone release schedule shake-up could be one of its worst ideas in years.
But I want to hear from you, dear readers, on what you’d like to see from Apple in regards to the iPhone 17 and its Pro stablemate. So, below, I’ve made a quick poll on the core upgrades the next-generation Apple phone is likely to have, so you can vote on the one you’re most excited for.

Personally, my big wish is for a 120Hz display; I currently use the iPhone 16 Pro Max as my main phone and have gotten so used to the ProMotion display that I can’t move back to a 60Hz screen. So, I think that holds back the iPhone 16 despite its rather swish overall smartphone offering, provided you can swallow being in Apple’s walled garden ecosystem.
I’d also like to see a bit of extra refinement in the design, as I’m a tad tired of the dual rear-camera module that I feel is looking a little long in the tooth.
