As expected, season 2 looks to be full of even more hedonistic excess, bonk-busting drama, and scandal at every turn. But both streamers seem to be playing down its release schedule.
Instead of Rivals season 2 being released in full (like season 1), it’s going to be split into two batches, with only the first batch releasing on May 15.

As Disney+ puts it, “The Hulu Original series will roll out in two six-episode batches, beginning with a three-episode premiere on May 15, followed by the second batch later this year.”
This follows the same pattern that Netflix has adopted for past seasons of shows such as Emily in Paris and Virgin River. Typically, Hulu and Disney+ series normally release with a multi-episode premiere before remaining episodes follow on a weekly basis.
We have no idea yet when the rest of Rivals season 2 will drop, but our best guesses place this between August and September 2026. This gives the studios time to focus on other summer releases and build the anticipation for returning to Rutshire back up.
When it does happen, here’s what we can expect: “Amidst the hedonistic glamour of 80s excess, the personal lives of our Rutshire heroes spiral into chaos. Marriages fracture under the weight of ambition, illicit affairs threaten to shatter families, and long-buried secrets ignite with explosive consequences.
“As rivalries push everyone to the brink, loyalties are tested, and hearts are broken in the pursuit of victory. But what is the true cost of war?”
