The Handmaid’s Tale season 6 might have left us with a hint of optimism, and almost a decade after the main show first aired, sequel The Testaments arrives. The spinoff is set some 15 years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale, a lot has changed in the Republic of Gilead. Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) has rescued herself from imprisonment after being handpicked to oversee the laws and uniforms governing Gilead’s women in the form of a new school.
Devout Plum Agnes (Chase Infiniti) completely believes in the regime and what it’s trying to achieve, but when she’s assigned new ‘Pearl Girl’ Daisy (Lucy Halliday), the truth finds its way out. Of course, nothing is straightforward when it comes to taking down a totalitarian regime. But when do The Testaments episodes 1-3 arrived on Hulu and Disney+?
