Meta is making a direct play for the talent currently dominating TikTok and YouTube.
The company on Wednesday unveiled Creator Fast Track, a program designed to take the scary out of starting over on a new platform by offering guaranteed monthly paychecks and an algorithm boost. The strategy is to find creators who already have a massive audience elsewhere and give them a financial safety net to start posting on Facebook.
The program offers a three-month window of guaranteed income. While the “guaranteed” portion is temporary, creators get immediate access to Facebook’s long-term monetization tools. The payouts are tiered based on the number of followers a creator has on their “home” platform, such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.
Those with at least 100,000 followers can earn $1,000 per month, while creators with more than one million followers can receive up to $3,000 monthly. They are required to post at least 15 Reels within a 30-day period, spread across at least 10 different days. The content does not have to be exclusive to Facebook, but it must be original.
Beyond the upfront cash, Meta is also promising increased visibility. Creators accepted into the program will get boosted reach on their content, helping them grow followers faster on Facebook.
The launch comes as Meta ramps up efforts to compete in the fast-growing creator economy, where platforms are fighting not just for users, but for the people who keep them engaged.
The company said it paid nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025, marking a 35% increase from the previous year and its highest annual payout yet. A large share of that went to short-form video content like Reels, though other formats such as Stories, photos, and text posts also contributed.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has previously acknowledged that Facebook is no longer the first choice for many creators. Speaking on The Colin and Samir Show, he said, “I just don’t think that a lot of creators today think about Facebook as the primary place they can go. But that itself actually creates this huge arbitrage opportunity.”
New tools to track earnings
Alongside the new program, Meta is also updating its monetization tools to give creators more insight into how they earn.
The company is introducing new metrics within its Content Monetization system, including “Qualified View,” which shows which views can earn money, and “Earnings Rate,” which estimates revenue per 1,000 views. Another feature will explain why certain views do not qualify for payouts.
Meta says these changes are meant to help creators better understand performance and improve their content strategy over time.
Who can apply?
The program is currently open to creators in the US and Canada only. Applicants must be at least 18, have a Facebook Page that’s at least 30 days old, and, crucially, must not have posted a Facebook reel in the past six months. This is explicitly a programme for newcomers and lapsed users, not current regulars.
Interested creators can apply through the Professional Dashboard on the Facebook mobile app, under the Monetization tab.
