We’re just about to be graced with another generation of Samsung Galaxy devices, but there are other options right now if you’re thinking about upgrading. For one, the excellent Google Pixel 10 series is going cheap right now, really cheap in fact.
It’s hard to say whether Google is looking to head off its potential rival Galaxy S26 series or whether today’s discounts are part of the wider Presidents’ Day sales, but all three devices are close to record-low prices at Amazon today.

How will the Samsung Galaxy S26 series compare?
Samsung’s upcoming devices will almost certainly be more powerful than the Pixel 10 series. Google’s Tensor chipsets already lag behind those in the Galaxy S25 series, so we expect the upcoming Samsung devices to be pretty damn powerful in terms of performance.
Aside from performance, however, the two ranges may be more equivalent than you’d think. All rumors right now are pointing to more of an iterative upgrade, which means similar design, cameras, and displays for the Galaxy S26 series. These are all points that the Pixel 10 series handles well, so the devices may be more equivalent than one would think.
One serious question mark that still looms over the upcoming devices is the various AI features Samsung will almost certainly highlight in the keynote. Google has usually had the more useful suite of AI features (like being the first to have Magic Eraser), but Samsung could have a few tricks up its sleeve – especially because the brand has AI currently plastered all over the Galaxy S26’s reservation campaign page.
