Hey Jude… you know what you need this Black Friday? The Disney and Hulu bundle deal that means you can stream The Beatles Anthology docuseries, which is out today (November 26).
As a Brit who has grown up knowing about The Beatles since I was in the womb, I really didn’t think there was anything left to discover about the awesome foursome… but boy was I wrong.
We’re talking rarely seen footage, exclusive insight and a comprehensive look at John, Paul, George and Ringo that will definitely put Sam Mendes’ four Beatles movies in the shade when they’re released.
You might not be convinced, and if I’m honest, neither was I when I decided to watch it. But not only do I feel a new sense of immense pride for the band, but I see them with fresh eyes, too.

Why you need to stream The Beatles Anthology on Disney+ this Black Friday
Watch On
You only need to read the YouTube comments under the below trailer to see just how much The Beatles mean to people – and how The Beatles Anthology is reminding fans of the joy their music brings all over again.
If you recognize the documentary title, that’s because this is technically a remaster (not to mention the only place that it’s available to stream). It was originally broadcast on UK television station ITV in 1995 as a six-parter, so the fact we’ve got three more episodes shows just how much new material has been added 30 years later.
One of these episodes is exclusive to Disney+, with the remaining two part of DVD re-releases between now and then (see what I did there?) It would be almost unbelievable that the series is the gift that keeps on giving if it wasn’t about The Beatles.
Personally, I think I trust Disney with The Beatles more than I would do any other streaming service. Why? Say what you will, but the brand’s commitment to preserving magic and wonder is second to none. They’re the best fit to keep the spirit of The Beatles alive, for any age.
If you’re looking for something to be fully invested in over the Christmas period that actually leaves you feeling enriched, look no further.
If the Anthology is somehow not enough for you, Disney+ is equally home to more Beatles documentaries, alongside other musical features like Bruce Springsteen’s Road Diary and Abbey Wood-based If These Walls Could Talk.
