October 8 and 9 are the official dates of Prime Day deals, and there are a lot of excellent laptop deals floating around that you can snag for a pretty great price. In fact, we’re seeing deals on pretty much all types of laptops, from Prime Day 2-in-1 laptop deals to Prime Day gaming laptop deals. That’s not really a surprise though, given that Prime Day is always one of the best sales events of the year when it comes to electronics and tech like laptops, which is why we’ve collected some of our favorite Prime Day Laptop deals below. Also, if you’re an Apple fan, you may want to check out these MacBook Prime Day deals as well.

Acer Chromebook 315 — $179 $349 48% 0ff

Acer Chromebook 315

One great thing about Chromebooks is that they run on ChromeOs and don’t need powerful specs. For example, this Acer Chromebook 315 comes with a very entry-level Intel Pentium N6000 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, all of which is more than enough for the basics. Even more impressively, it’s going for just $179 instead of $349, for a whopping 48% discount.

If you’re looking for ultimate gaming power, this is one badass Blade. It features an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, GeForce RTX 4070, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB solid-state drive. You also get the 14-inch QHD display running at 240Hz for gorgeous visuals. All of that extra power is going to make a huge difference when you’re playing the latest games. Not to mention, you’ll even get a free copy of Black Myth: Wukong with your purchase.

Acer Aspire 3 — $300 $322 7% 0ff

One downside of Chromebooks is that, even though they’re cheap, you are stuck with ChromeOS, so if you need a cheaper Windows PC, then this Acer Aspire 3 is the way to go. It has an entry-level AMD Ryzen 3 7320U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Also, the reduced $300 price tag makes it perfect for those who just need something very basic.

ASUS Vivobook 16 — $565 $600 6% 0ff

It’s not every day we see a relatively budget-priced 16-inch laptop, but this Vivobook 16 is great. It comes with a surprisingly powerful AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and 16GB of RAM, so it’s pretty highly-specced, and while it only has a 6% discount, that’s a steal for what you’re getting, even without it.

Apple M3 MacBook Air 13  — $999 $1,099 9% 0ff

If you’re in the Apple ecosystem and want one of the best thin-and-light laptops on the market, this MacBook Air 13 M3 is the way to go. In fact, our reviewer, Luke Larson, found that “If you’re considering this against many of the comparable Windows laptops in this price range, you’ll again find that the M3 MacBook Air outclasses those laptops in almost every way.”

Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16 — $1,000 $1,450 31% 0ff

On the other hand, if you’re more into the Windows and Samsung ecosystem, then we’d suggest the Samsung Galaxy Book4. It has a gorgeous AMOLED Touch-Screen and a pretty solid Snapdragon X Elite, which is a mobile CPU. Even better, it has a whopping $450 discount, so it’s well worth buying at this price point.

Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 — $1,100 $1,450 24% 0ff

The Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 is an excellent little computer that even our computer reviewer, Mark Coppock, felt was “a gorgeous convertible 2-in-1 that’s very well made, and its OLED display and excellent audio make for a fun media experience.” It also has a $350 discount, so if you’re a fan of smaller laptops, this might be the perfect option for you.

Apple M3 MacBook Pro 14 — $1,299 $1,599 17% 0ff

If you’re a creative pro, then going for this M3 MacBook Pro 14 is a perfect choice, and not only because it has a $300 discount. The M3 chip is one of the most powerful ones that Apple offers, and while the 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage are on the lower side, those are pretty on par for Apple, so they shouldn’t be a dealbreaker.

HP Spectre 2-in-1 14 — $1,349 $1,900 29% 0ff

Convertible laptops can be really convenient, especially if you need something for a work setting, which is why the HP Spectre 2-in-1 is such a great option. Not only does it have a whopping $550 discount, it also comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU, a truly high 32GB of RAM and an impressive 2TB of storage, which makes this an excellent buy if you want a little bit of everything.

ASUS ProArt PX13 — $1,145 $1,700 15% 0ff

You might be surprised to find out that the tiny Asus ProArt Px13 is a powerhouse, so much so that our reviewer Mark Coppock said “If you’re looking for a laptop for video editing or high-end photography work, you’ll want fast performance and a display with excellent colors. The ProArt PX13 provides both.” In fact, this configuration even comes with an RTX 4050 and a sold $250 discount.

Samsung Galaxy Book4 Ultra 16 — $2,500 $3,00 16% 0ff

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Ultra 16 is an excellent thin and light laptop that is great for those who really want a bit of everything on the higher end. It has a larger 16-inch AMOLED Touch Screen, a powerful RTX 4070 that can handle most modern games, a whopping 32GB of memory, and 1TB of storage. Of course, it is quite pricey, but the $500 discount that brings it down to $2,500 makes it very much worth it!

How to Choose a Laptop on Prime Day

With even the worst laptops becoming quite reasonably specced these days, it’s relatively easy to find a general-use laptop. Something like 8GB of RAM is pretty reasonable, as is an Intel i5 or Ryzen R5 CPU, especially if you’re mostly going to be streaming stuff online and doing general day-to-day work. At that point, it becomes a matter of whether you want something small and lightweight, like a 2-in-1 laptop, or if you want a big screen with lots of power behind it, like some of the best laptops.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for something more specific, it will come down to what you need. For example, the best laptops for engineers and the best laptops for photo editing and photographers tend to both need a good amount of RAM (16GB or more) and a GPU, especially if you’re an engineer who uses a lot of rendering for your work. If you’re aiming for gaming laptops, then you’re going to want a powerful GPU to game with, and 16GB of RAM becomes the minimum, as well as a larger hard drive for storage, given how massive games are these days.
