There’s just six new Prime Video shows coming in December, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing worth your time this month.
In fact, there are three big shows I am very excited to see coming to one of the best streaming services. Whether it’s a huge 15 seasons of my favorite fantasy series or a follow up to one of Prime Video’s best shows.
Supernatural
RT score: 93% (average across all seasons)
Seasons: 15
Age Rating: R
Cast: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Katie Cassidy, Lauren Cohan, Misha Collins
This one’s a real throwback, but Supernatural is one of my favorite fantasy shows to revisit. With 15 seasons to dive into on Prime Video in December, it’s one you can commit to long term.
Supernatural follows two brothers as they hunt demons, ghosts, monsters and a whole host of other supernatural beings, while following in the footsteps of their father.
It’s funny, scary and poignant in equal measure and each case the brothers take on is as gripping as the last. It’s the kind of show I can spend all day watching, so be warned, it’ll be hard to stop!
Fallout
Watch On
RT score: 93% (season 1)
Seasons: 2
Age Rating: R
Main cast: Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Kyle MacLachlan
Fallout is a rare example of a video game adaptation done right and I’ve been impatiently awaiting season 2. The upcoming episodes will focus on my favorite game in the franchise, Fallout: New Vegas, and I’m so excited to see it come to life.
If you haven’t seen the first season yet, all episodes are streaming on Prime Video ahead of Fallout season 2’s release on December 17. There’s some great new additions to the cast this season too like Justin Theroux as Mr. House, and Macaulay Culkin who will play a member of Caesar’s Legion.
I do have high expectations for season 2 and I’m sure they’ll deliver, but I’ll have to wait patiently to find out for sure.
Surely Tomorrow
Watch On
RT score: TBC
Seasons: 1
Age Rating: TBC
Main cast: Park Seo-joon, Won Ji-an, Lee El, Lee Joo-young
In the mood for a romantic comedy? Surely Tomorrow is a new Korean-language series which follows a bittersweet romance between two people with a history.
After former lovers Lee Gyeong-do and Seo Ji-woo break up twice in their twenties, they end up reuniting when journalist Gyeong-do reports on an affair scandal, and Ji-woo happens to be the wife in that scandal.
Episodes will release weekly starting on December 6, so it’s set to be a nice weekly dose of drama and laughs. It also stars Squid Game season 2’s Won Ji-an, so you may be seeing a familiar face.
